HP cartridge is genuine:-

Always make sure that the cartridge is genuine and also make of HP because HP never gets a guaranty of non-HP cartridge. If the cartridge is not genuine then it may cause HP printer printing blank pages.

Level of ink:-

Here are the steps to check the level of ink:

  • Keep plain white paper in the paper tray.
  • Press the option (-) which is next to the setup icon in the lower-left corner of the control panel.
  • Tab the right arrow button to select Tools, and then press OK.
  • Press the right arrow button to select estimated ink levels, and then press OK.
  • If you find the level of ink is low. So you need to change the cartridge.

Replace the low ink cartridge:-

Here are the steps to replace the low ink cartridge:

  • Keep blank white paper in the input tray.
  • Tab the power button to turn on the printer.
  • Now, open the cartridge door and wait until the printer is inactive and silent before you continue.
  • Slowly press down on the cartridge to release it, and then pull the cartridge out to isolate it from the slot.
  • Now, take the new cartridge and remove its packing and also remove the plastic tape which is used for the protection of cartridge.
  • After that, insert the cartridge at their slot with very carefully. If you use a multicolor printer then be careful with the color-coding of the printer. The black cartridge is on the right side and the tri-color cartridge is on the left side.
  • Now, close the cartridge door.

Clean the printhead:-

Always, clean printhead with an automated tool. If the printhead is clogged then it may cause the error to print blank pages. Here are the steps to clean the printhead:

  • Keep the blank white paper in the input tray.
  • Tab the option (-) which is next to the setup icon in the lower-left corner of the control panel.
  • Tab the right arrow button to select Tools, and then press OK.
  • Tab the right arrow button to select clean printhead, and then press OK. Now the printer starts the cleaning process.
  • Now, check it see the quality of printing.

Identify the cartridge:-

If you still face the problem, then go through the below-given steps to identify the cartridge:

  • First of all, review the test page which you print in the previous solution.
  • Review the text and color blocks on the test page.
  • If you find any defects with the black text then the problem is in the black cartridge and if you find defects with colors then the problem is in tri-color cartridge.
